To find events for which volunteers are needed, under Event Category, check Course Marking and Finish Line, and click SUBMIT. If you see a race you can help at, send email to firstname.lastname@example.org. (If you don’t see Event Category, try clicking ‘Show Filters’ first).
Race Directors should use this form to request that local running events (within 75 miles of Frederick, MD) be placed on our calendar.

Deer Dash 5K Run/Walk & 1-Mile Fun Run

A family fitness event for all ages! Start and finish at Deer Crossing Elementary. The 5K is a certified course that winds through the Summerfield Village of Lake Linganore.
Rain or shine, all levels of runners and walkers are welcome to participate and will be eligible for door prizes.
Entertainment throughout the event, snacks and drinks at the finish line.
Stick around and enjoy our post-race Fitness Expo, silent auction, and awards recognizing top 5K finishers and all Fun Run participants.
All proceeds benefit the DCES PTA.
