Hawktoberfest 5k

Hagerstown Community College (HCC) is hosting the second annual Hawktoberfest 5k Run/Walk during HCC’s Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, October 7. To kick off the weekend, we will host a 3.1 mile run/walk on campus, beginning and ending at the Athletic, Recreation, and Community Center (ARCC) at 11400 Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown, MD 21742. The course will consist of pathed roads on the campus. The course will be closed to traffic from 8:50am until 10:00am. Course maps and race details will be emailed to participants and posted at the event.
Registration fees will be $20 from June 1 through September 7, and will increase to $25 on September 8 (plus an additional processing fee). Race registration includes a race bib and a Hawktoberfest 5k t-shirt (while supplies last). Registrants can pick their packet up at the ARCC building lobby from 4:00 – 6:00pm on Friday, October 6, or on race day morning beginning at 8:00am.
Awards will be given to the top male and female overall finisher, as well as awards for each age group (12 & under; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 & up)
Make sure to stick around after the race to enjoy snacks and refreshments and learn about the different programs and offerings at HCC! All proceeds and donations from the race will benefit HCC athletic scholarships and programs. The race will be held, rain or shine!
Entertainment will be provided by Ryan Smetzer, HCC alum, radio host, and owner of Ryan Smetzer Entertainment!
